„We’re looking for the toonity.com pen!“
The competition runs from 07.12.09 - 07.02.10!
This is how it works:
| 1) | Download the drawing template you choose for the STABILO bionic rollerball onto your PC. » Download |
| 2) | Either print this out or use it directly as a template in the graphics software on your computer. |
| 3) | Create your design idea on the template. Please use no more than five different colours to create your design. You’re completely free to choose what you draw. Remember that the print area on the pen is very small, so you need to think hard about a practical design that will look good! |
| 4) | When you have finished,strong> scan your design in high resolution and save it on your PC (or save it on the PC after you have finished creating it using your graphics software). |
| 5) | Upload the saved design under the 'MY WORK/MY DRAWINGS' menu item in the toonity.com Drawing Gallery and save it in the ‘Pen Styler Competition’ category. Please make sure that your design can be seen in the Gallery view. |
| 6) | Now you just need to wait and check out the designs created by other users, make comments and give ratings. The ratings will only be visible on 8 February 2010, when the winner will be announced by a toonity.com jury. |
Fileformats of the file 'toonity_penstyler.zip': You'll find 4 different filetypes (EPS, PSD, JPG and PDF), if you unpack the zip file. Use the file which suits you best.

Note: You can use the horizontal design template as well as the vertical design template!
Please do not use any established comic characters (Hello Kitty, Walt Disney etc.), brand names (Converse, adidas, etc.) or product images! Else we'd have to pay a lot of money to get the licence to produce the new limited edition of the pen. Please use only own ideas, own patterns, own graphics and own images!
Here’s a tip:
Use other comic and manga communities to let people know about the competition or invite friends and family from MySpace, Facebook and other social networking sites to join in, so they can rate your design and take part themselves if they like!

1st prize:
Unique and limited edition pen with the winning design on a STABILO bionic rollerball*, a Perixx PERITAB-301 Slim Vista graphic tablet and a small pack of STABILO products (including a toonity t-shirt and baseball cap).
*Please note: making the design into a limited edition pen may take some time. The design and colour may have to be adapted or altered during the printing process.

In order to prevent users in future from creating ‘fake profiles’ to give themselves good ratings and/or other users bad ratings, we have had to change the toonity.com rating system. From November 2008, you have to meet certain requirements in order to be able to rate other users.

Ganz vorneweg müssen wir Euch leider mitteilen, dass kein Motiv auf dem STABILO bionic Rollerball umgesetzt werden kann. Wir müssen sehr darauf achten, dass keine Motive auf einen STABILO Stift gedruckt werden, die Rechte anderer Zeichner/Künstler verletzen. In diesem Fall können wir dies bei keinem Motiv zu 100% garantieren.
Wir unterstellen Euch natürlich nicht, dass Ihr geschummelt habt. Aber wenn wir aus Unwissenheit ein Motiv wählen, welches copyrightbehaftet ist, dann müssten wir im schlimmsten Fall hohe Geldstrafen zahlen.
Nichtsdestotrotz werden natürlich die versprochenen Preise verlost!
Uns fiel es nicht leicht die Gewinner-Auswahl bei diesem Wettbewerb zu treffen. Die Punktanzahl aus dem Voting ist leider nur bedingt aussagekräftig, da leider immer wieder User mit Fakeprofilen mogeln. Dazu kommt, dass manche Motive bereits ganz zu Beginn des Wettbewerbs eingestellt wurden und deshalb natürlich bis zum Ende sehr häufig angesehen und bewertet wurden und alleine deshalb eine hohe Punktzahl erreicht haben.
Wir haben anhand der folgenden sechs Punkte entschieden:
1.)Liegt eventl. eine Copyrightverletzung vor
2.)Passt das Motiv auf die verhältnismäßig kleine Stift-Bedruckungsfläche?
3.)Ist das Motiv auf einen Blick erkennbar, wenn der Stift vor einem liegt?
4.)Wie originell ist das Motiv?
5.)Wie hoch ist der kreative Eigenanteil? (ist Motiv selbst gezeichnet o. wurden Hilfsmittel verwendet)
6.)User-Voting (nur bedingt aussagekräftig)
Wir wissen, dass das Gefallen der Motive immer subjektiv ist. Deshalb möchten wir zu den Gewinnermotiven einen kurzen Kommentar schreiben, der begründet, warum wir uns dafür entschieden haben.

Dieses Motiv ist sehr inspirierend und wirkt außergewöhnlich auf den Betrachter. Es beruhigt sogar beim Betrachten und könnte so in der Schule oder im Büro bei der Stressbewältigung helfen. Auch wenn das Bild mit einem 3D Programm erstellt wurde, so ist doch ein hoher kreativer Eigenanteil vorhanden. |

2nd prize: A brilliant Deuter rucksack and a small pack of STABILO products (including a toonity t-shirt + baseball cap) Dieses Motiv wurde von den toonity.com Usern sehr gut bewertet. Dies liegt natürlich auch daran, weil das Motiv bereits kurz nach dem Beginn des Eventzeitraumes eingestellt und deshalb auch oft dafür gevotet wurde. Natürlich ähnelt das Bild dem „Ed Hardy“-Style – deshalb ist es auch nur auf Platz 2 gekommen. Trotzdem ist das Bild individuell und etwas anders gestaltet, so dass es keine Kopie darstellt. Das Thema Totenkopf in Kombination mit Blumen und Tieren sieht mystisch aus ist zeitlos und wird auch heute noch stark in südamerikanischen Ländern (Totenkult und -verehrung) verwendet. |

3rd prize: A Deuter wash bag filled with STABILO pens, a toonity t-shirt and baseball cap and a comic/manga book from Egmont Dieses Motiv gefällt uns, weil es ein kleinteiliges Muster verwendet, das Thema Liebe (immer ein schönes Thema) aufnimmt und die Farbstimmung ein wenig an die 70er Jahre (auch immer im Trend) erinnert. |
